Open the gear in TCaption.

## Account and updates

View your plan and this computer's activation. Sign out to release its device slot. Use [your account](/dashboard) to manage billing and other devices.

The update controls show the installed version and available releases. Verified Windows updates can be staged for when Premiere closes; other cases use the [download page](/download).

## Pre-rendering

**Automatically pre-render caption preview** is on by default. It prepares the rendered sample preview for smoother playback.

**Automatically pre-render sequence after style insertion** is off by default. You can also change it in the progress window after styling has started.

The sequence option applies to styled captions. It is not offered when only placeholders are being placed.

The fixed playback tip beneath placement progress has no separate setting. There is no random tips overlay.

## Captions

**Max caption length** limits how long inserted captions can linger. Zero disables the limit. Review newly inserted captions after changing it.

**Characters to remove** sets the characters affected by Remove punctuation. Changes affect caption text grouping, not the original audio.

## Feedback and reset

Feedback opens a report for you to review before sending. Include what you expected, what happened and the steps needed to reproduce it. Do not include your license key.

Reset clears the extension's local state. Export transcripts you want to keep first. Timeline clips already placed in the Premiere project are separate from this saved panel state.
