Terms of service

These terms describe use of the TCaption extension and its connected transcription service. The operator named above provides the service. If you purchase for a business, you must have authority to accept these terms for that business.

Your subscription

TCaption uses a monthly subscription. Each plan includes the caption styles and a fixed transcription allowance:

• Starter: $8 USD per month, with 60 transcription minutes.
• Pro: $12 USD per month, with 600 transcription minutes.
• Unlimited: $25 USD per month, with 6,000 transcription minutes.

Eligible new customers may purchase one introductory month of Starter or Pro for $0.99. Starter includes 60 minutes and renews at $8/month. Pro includes 600 minutes and renews at $12/month. The introduction is available once per verified email/account across both plans, subject to purchase history. It does not apply to Unlimited. Unlimited is a plan name with a 6,000-minute monthly limit.

Payment and renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically each month until canceled. Stripe processes payment details. Your checkout displays the amount due and any applicable tax before you confirm. Access starts after successful payment verification. A delayed or failed payment may delay or suspend transcription access.

Changes to a plan, including any prorated payment, must be reviewed in the billing portal before confirmation. We will communicate material future price changes in advance as required by applicable law.

Minutes and devices

Usage is measured from the audio submitted, rounded up to a whole second per job. Each job may contain up to 60 minutes of audio. Unused minutes do not roll over. Changing plans during a billing period keeps the usage already recorded in that period. The account page shows your allowance and usage.

A license supports activation on two computers. You may deactivate an old device in your account. Do not share or resell your license, bypass usage limits or misuse the introductory offer. Automatic emphasis for a completed transcription is included. Manual caption editing does not consume transcription minutes.

Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel future renewals through your account. Access normally continues until the end of the paid billing period. Cancellation does not remove rights you have under consumer law.

Where applicable, consumers may have withdrawal, conformity or refund rights. Beginning a download or using transcription does not by itself record an express waiver of those rights. Any required request to begin performance early and related acknowledgment must be handled separately during purchase.

Before launch: confirm the commercial refund policy, withdrawal instructions and contact method for the operator’s jurisdiction. These draft terms do not impose a blanket no-refunds rule.

Your content

You retain your rights in the material you submit and must have permission to process it. You authorize the processing needed to provide transcription and automatic emphasis, as described in the Privacy policy. Do not submit material you are prohibited from sharing with those services.

Generated captions may contain errors. Review the wording, timing and emphasis before publishing your work. You are responsible for the final material you publish.

The extension and other software

Your subscription grants permission to use TCaption for your editing work. It does not transfer ownership of the extension or grant permission to redistribute it. Adobe Premiere Pro is required and licensed separately. Optional third-party effects require their own licenses. TCaption is independent of Adobe.

Availability and changes

Cloud transcription requires an internet connection. Maintenance, service-provider outages and compatibility changes may affect availability. We may update the software to maintain or improve it. We will provide notices and remedies for material service changes where required by law.

Responsibility and disputes

Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded. Any further liability terms, applicable-law provision and dispute process require confirmation once the operator’s jurisdiction is selected. Mandatory consumer protections remain applicable.
