Caption options
Group captions, choose line breaks and read the maximum line count.
These controls group the transcribed words into caption segments. Re-grouping is local and does not use transcription minutes.
Characters per caption
Sets how much text appears together. The lowest slider position selects One word per caption.
Words are kept intact. A word longer than the character limit can exceed it. Pauses and sentence settings can also produce shorter captions.
Characters per line
Set this above zero to wrap captions at spaces. Off leaves automatic line splitting disabled. An unusually long word can exceed this limit.
The transcript marks each planned break with a faint vertical bar. A Max line count readout shows the largest number of lines among the current captions. It is a display counter, not a limit control.
Sentence boundaries
Force split sentences starts a new caption at sentence boundaries. With it enabled, Split sentences at diacritics also splits at the additional punctuation shown by that control.
Remove punctuation
Removes the characters listed under Characters to remove in Settings. The source transcript remains available for re-grouping.
Re-grouping edited captions
Compatible wording edits and manual emphasis are carried forward when captions are rebuilt. An edit with a different word count cannot always be matched back to the original word timings and may return to the source wording.
Re-grouping runs without a separate re-cut confirmation. Export a transcript before substantial changes, then review the result. If the captions are already styled, applying the style again rebuilds them directly.
