Timeline tools
Work with selected caption clips and keep a caption group in sync.
The Timeline tools in Style & Tools work on caption clips selected in Premiere. Check the selection before applying changes.
Attributes
Copy from selected copies supported effects and transforms from a selected caption. Paste to selected applies them to the caption clips you select next.
Use this to carry a manual adjustment from one caption to others. Review the result when a selected effect is unavailable on the destination clip.
Styles
Sync from selected carries the selected caption's look to the rest of its caption group.
Select first in groups selects the first clip of each caption group on the track. This helps when you want to act on one clip per caption.
Playhead sync
Caption groups can synchronize their wording across clips as the playhead moves.
Disconnect selected marks selected clips with a [manual] prefix and takes them out of automatic sync. Reconnect selected removes the marker and returns them to the group.
The marker changes the timeline clip name, not the visible caption. Keep a project copy before extensive manual timeline changes.
